The highest qualities of this renowned cut tea are made from leaves from old bushes of Shui Xian in the spectacularly beautiful area of Wuyi where the best rocks, and therefore soil, are found. Like our other rock teas, Laocong Shuixian is a zheng yancha and as the name (“laocong”) indicates, it is made from tea leaves plucked from old bushes. This is a great Shuixian that has both depth and clarity, roasted sweetness and austere minerals.

Other names: Old Bush Shui Xian. Origin: Wuyi, Fujian. Harvest: Spring 2017. Cultivar: Shui Xian.
