Wild Rooibos

Description

This is a wild, organic rooibos from the Cedar Mountains in South Africa, north of Cape Town. The harvest is done by hand from wild-growing shrubs, something that is unusual today when most of the rooibos sold are grown commercially. The cooperative we work with has both cultivated and wild rooibos, and we chose the wild one because it has a completely different depth and length in taste. Rooibos, like tea, contains a considerable dose of antioxidants, but unlike tea, it has no caffeine at all, which makes it excellent as an evening tea. The taste is round and soft with warm notes of rosehip, apple and honey.
