G\u00e5rdens teer har vunnit det mycket prestigefyllda f\u00f6rstapriset i omr\u00e5dets tefestival och familjen har ett eget best\u00e5nd av semi-vilda buskar (lokalt ben\u00e4mns denna typ av te som yaseang-cha: vilt te). Deras teer \u00e4r handplockade och tillverkade helt f\u00f6r hand. I Korea delas teer in i fyra kategorier vilka motsvarar sk\u00f6rdeperioderna: ujeon, sejak, jungjak och daejak (daejak betecknar alla sk\u00f6rdar som sker efter jungjak-sk\u00f6rden och omfattar d\u00e4rf\u00f6r enklare kvaliteer). Dessa \u00e4r indelade efter m\u00e5nkalendern, vilken ocks\u00e5 ligger till grund f\u00f6r Kinas sk\u00f6rdeperioder. Ujeon betecknar allts\u00e5 den f\u00f6rsta plockningen p\u00e5 v\u00e5ren och sk\u00f6rdas f\u00f6re Gogu, som infaller den 20 april. Gogu \u00e4r detsamma som &#8221;Guyu&#8221; i Kina &#8211; b\u00e5da betyder &#8221;f\u00f6re regnen&#8221; och utg\u00f6r ett viktigt datum vad g\u00e4ller avgr\u00e4nsning av tesk\u00f6rdar. D\u00e5 Koreas klimat \u00e4r kallare \u00e4n Kinas \u00e4r denna f\u00f6rsta sk\u00f6rd senare i Korea \u00e4n i Kina.<br \/>\nKoreanskt te \u00e4r relativt ok\u00e4nt i v\u00e4st, och det som vanligast exporteras \u00e4r massproducerade teer av varierande kvalitet. Dessa teer \u00e4r oftast \u00e5ngade vilket beror till stor del p\u00e5 att \u00e5ngning \u00e4r l\u00e4tt att g\u00f6ra i stor skala. Kommersiellt tillverkade koreanska teer kan vara handplockade, men de \u00e4r i regel aldrig tillverkade f\u00f6r hand. Dessutom anv\u00e4nder man kommersiellt anpassade underarter.<br \/>\nSamtidigt finns i Korea teer som produceras sm\u00e5skaligt av sm\u00e5 familjeg\u00e5rdar. Dessa sm\u00e5 familjeodlingar \u00e5terfinns i Hadong, det omr\u00e5de d\u00e4r man f\u00f6rst b\u00f6rjade odla te i Korea. Teerna sk\u00f6rdas fr\u00e5n semi-vilda buskar och b\u00e5de plockning och tillverkning sker f\u00f6r hand varf\u00f6r dessa hantverksteer betingar mycket h\u00f6ga priser och endast en mycket liten andels s\u00e4ljs utanf\u00f6r Korea.
