Fenghuang Dancong Night fragrance or Ye Lai Xiang is an exclusive oolong tea from the Fenghuang mountains in Guangdong province. It has a sweet flavour with hints of peach and a light floral aroma. The name means 'scent of the night' and reflects the tea's aroma, which is reminiscent of Chinese violet and jsamin that bloom at night. The tea is grown at high altitude in a subtropical climate, providing a misty and humid environment that contributes to the rich flavours. Harvesting takes place mainly in spring when the leaves are at their most aromatic. Only the finest leaves are selected and processed with care to preserve the aroma and flavour. It is a tea with a balanced and smooth profile and a long, refreshing aftertaste. We recommend brewing the tea with a gaiwan or Yixing teapot. The water should be around 90°C, and the brewing time short, around 20-30 seconds for the first brews. The tea can be brewed several times, and each brewing brings new nuances of flavour. Tegården practises sustainable agriculture and uses neither pesticides nor artificial fertilisers.
