Kabusecha Yabukita

Description

Kabusecha Yabukita is a Japanese green tea from Uji. It is a sencha, but since it is the tea bushes that are shaded a number of days before harvest (in this case ten days), it is called kabusecha in Japan to indicate that it is a shade-grown sencha. The tea is grown in the mountain area Kirishima and consists of the first picking in the spring. The fine leaves are handled carefully and the tea is medium-steamed (chumushi). This high-quality sencha has a soft and clear taste with a fresh and clear greenery with light nuttiness and a hint of floral tones.
