Tea from Taiwan

Around 90% of Taiwanese tea production is oolong tea, which is about half of the world's production. This is a country with truly fine tea houses, as well as many skilled tea masters, many of whom brew the tea according to the gong fu method and serve the brew in Taiwan's special cup kit with a special, narrow "fragrance cup". The oolong tea refining process of rolling and oxidation is complex, so it takes a certain obsession to make really good oolong, and there is plenty of this obsession in Taiwan. To satisfy the demanding population, you can find many small tea makers on the island. The knowledge and feeling of these tea makers create unique tea characters and we therefore find a large variety of nuanced oolong teas. Read more
