This high quality Long Jing (Lung Ching) is a green tea from Hangzhou Prefecture in Zhejiang. Long Jing, also known as Dragon Well, is one of the world's most famous and valued green teas and has a rich history spanning centuries and deeply rooted in Chinese culture and tradition.
Long Jing tea is known for its flat, emerald green leaves, carefully handpicked and processed to preserve their unique shape and quality. When brewed, the tea leaves release a mild, nutty aroma and a sweet, grassy flavour with hints of chestnut. Its elegant and balanced flavour makes it the perfect tea for those seeking a subtle and refined experience.
The making of Long Jing is an art in itself. The leaves are harvested in early spring, when they are at their most delicate and flavoursome. After harvesting, the leaves undergo a careful roasting process in woks, where they are shaped and dried with expertise passed down through generations. This meticulous process ensures that every cup of Long Jing is packed with purity and quality.
In addition to its delicate flavour, Long Jing tea is also known for its health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, especially catechins, which help fight free radicals in the body. The tea farm practises sustainable agriculture and does not use pesticides or artificial fertilisers.

Infusion

Dosage Quantity / 250 ml 2,5-3 g
temperature temperature 70-80°C
Infusion 1 Infusion 2-3 minutes
L ong Jing Superfine is well suited for multiple infusions. The second infusion is best kept short, as the leaves have already started to open and release their flavours. The following infusions, on the other hand, should be left to rest a little longer, so that the flavours deepen and the nuances emerge. For many teas, two or three infusions with the above parameters are enough, but some keep on giving, cup after cup.
