We strive to offer teas of the highest quality from some of the world’s most renowned tea-growing traditions. Through close collaboration with carefully selected estates and producers, we ensure sustainable cultivation and uncompromising quality. Our range consists of teas that have been personally and carefully selected, with every leaf representing our commitment to excellence. The flavour experiences are vibrant, pure and long-lasting on the palate – qualities we preserve through careful handling from farm to cup.
Our selection ranges from classic Chinese tea and stored Pu-erh to Japanese tea, top-quality Darjeeling and other teas with a distinct provenance. What they all have in common is that they have been selected for their quality, their character and their ability to reflect the place where they were grown.
Ever since we started, we have chosen to let our teas speak for themselves, rather than relying on marketing. We are grateful for the trust and appreciation we receive from an ever-growing community of tea drinkers who value the quality, origin and care that go into every tea. Our teas are now served both in the homes of tea enthusiasts and at some of Sweden’s finest restaurants, including those awarded two and three Michelin stars. What our restaurant customers have in common is that they have sought us out themselves over the years, something we see as a fine testament to the quality of our selection. In the Mood for Tea is run by Jonas Almberg and Sofia Roger. The business is rooted in a family tradition dating back to Jonas’s great-great-grandfather – a tea merchant during the late Qing dynasty.
