This is an organic Second Flush Darjeeling tea from Samabeong, one of Darjeeling's highest tea farms. The farm is located at an altitude of over 2000 metres above sea level, creating unique conditions for tea cultivation. Samabeong is secluded in the north-eastern part of Darjeeling, in the Kalimpong district, where it benefits from a mild and humid microclimate. This particular batch of tea consists of a carefully selected picking that is harvested by hand during the summer, which is the most sought-after harvest time for Darjeeling tea. It is during this period that the leaves reach their maximum flavour potential, giving the tea its characteristic aroma and complex flavour profile.
Samabeong has a long tradition of growing high-quality organic tea, and the farm actively works to preserve the biodiversity of the area. By using organic methods and avoiding synthetic pesticides, it ensures that both the quality of the tea and the environment are protected. This sustainable approach contributes to the unique flavour of the tea and respects the surrounding nature. With its high altitude location and specialised farming methods, Samabeong is one of the most reputable farms in Darjeeling. The tea produced here is not only a treat for the taste buds, but also an expression of the local craftsmanship and tradition of tea cultivation. It is truly a unique and exclusive beverage for tea lovers around the world.
