Selimbong Musk is an organic, classic Darjeeling tea from the coveted summer harvest. This tea is characterised by its distinctive flavours and aromas, where the typical notes of muscat grapes are clearly visible. Founded in 1860, Selimbong has since established itself as a prominent producer of premium teas. The farm is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, providing a spectacular scenic backdrop and optimal growing conditions. Selimbong has plantations ranging from 1000 to 1700 metres above sea level. This high altitude gives the tea its unique character and contributes to the complex flavours that characterise the tea. During the summer harvest, when the leaves are picked by hand, the flavour reaches its peak, offering a balanced combination of sweetness and fruitiness. Darjeeling Selimbong Musk lends itself well to multiple infusions. The second infusion is best kept short, as the leaves have already started to open and release their flavours. Subsequent infusions, on the other hand, should be left to rest a little longer, so that the flavours deepen and the nuances emerge. For many teas, two or three infusions with the above parameters are enough, but some keep on giving, cup after cup.
