Himalayan Evergreen is an exceptional example of micro-production and is made from an exquisite first flush from the Jun Chiyabari tea estate in Nepal. This tea estate is located in a terroir (area) that shares similarities with Darjeeling, and is at the same altitude as the highest farms in this famous region. This gives the tea a distinctive character and a complex flavour profile. Himalayan Evergreen offers some herbal floral flavours along with citrus notes, creating a refreshing and elegant cup. The tea finishes with a long, fresh and clear aftertaste that leaves a pleasant sensation on the tongue.
The tea is characterised by a high proportion of buds, which contribute to a soft and delicate flavour, and the evenly sized, plump leaves are not only tasty but also visually appealing. H imalayan Evergreen lends itself well to multiple infusions. The second infusion is best kept short, as the leaves have already started to open and release their flavours. Subsequent infusions, on the other hand, should be left to rest a little longer to allow the flavours to deepen and the nuances to emerge. For many teas, two or three infusions with the above parameters are enough, but some keep on giving, cup after cup.
