Imperial Black is an exclusive, fully oxidised black tea with long, elegantly twisted leaves from the renowned Jun Chiyabari estate in Nepal. The production of this tea is carefully crafted, and the leaf roasting process has been developed to bring out a subtle caramelisation, creating a unique flavour profile. The result is a full-bodied tea, where notes of cocoa and malt combine with soft hints of caramel. This flavourful combination provides a rich and well-balanced experience, rounded off with a smooth, clean finish.
Jun Chiyabari, located in an area known for its high altitude and mild, mountainous climate, creates optimal conditions for producing high-quality teas. The farm practices sustainable agriculture and works without pesticides or fertilisers, contributing to both the quality of the tea and the long-term environmental health of the area. This eco-friendly farming method means that the tea can grow at its natural rate, helping the plants to benefit from the nutrient-rich soil and natural conditions of the region.
With its unique flavour profile, Imperial Black is a tea that not only appeals to the taste buds, but also expresses the farm's philosophy of sustainability and traditional craftsmanship. It is a tea that offers a refined balance of richness and elegance, reflecting the care taken at every stage of its production.

Infusion

Dosage Quantity / 250 ml 2,5-3 g
temperature temperature 90-95°C
Infusion 1 Infusion 3-5 minutes
I mperial Black is well suited to multiple infusions. The second infusion is best kept short, as the leaves have already started to open up and release their flavours. Subsequent infusions, on the other hand, should be left to rest a little longer, so that the flavours deepen and the nuances emerge. For many teas, two or three infusions with the above parameters are enough, but some keep on giving, cup after cup.
