Lychee Black

Our Lychee Black is a black tea flavoured using a traditional Chinese method, where the dried tea leaves are gently blended with freshly squeezed lychee juice. This method, which gently infuses the leaves with the sweetness and fresh scent of the fruit, has been used for centuries to create a subtle and natural aroma without adding artificial flavourings. A beloved fruit in much of Asia, the lychee has a red, spiny skin and juicy white flesh. It originated in China and has been cultivated there for around 2000 years, testifying to the historical and cultural importance of the fruit in the region.
Lychee Black offers an experience of mild, fruity and tropical notes, with the character of lychee balancing the dark maltiness and rich flavour profile of black tea. The flavour is well-balanced, with a sweetness that is not overpowering but enhances the natural flavours of the tea, and an aftertaste that offers both freshness and depth. The combination of black tea and lychee creates a fusion of traditional Asian flavours and brings out the exotic, slightly floral and tropical fruitiness of lychee.

L ychee Black is well suited to multiple infusions. The second infusion should ideally be kept short, as the leaves have already begun to open and release their aromas.
