Himalayan Spring is a First Flush from the prestigious Jun Chiyabari Tea Farm which is located in the same terroir (area) as Darjeeling and is located at the height of the highest farms in Darjeeling. The tea is produced in very small batches during the spring's extended harvest period. High altitudes and early harvests are the most desirable given that the weather has been favorable. We have chosen an exquisite early micro-harvest from March that captures the main strengths of the spring harvest. It is easily oxidized but follows the manufacturing process of black tea. The process highlights the early sheer spring feeling in aroma and taste, which is characterized by a light florality paired with light tones of mango and peach.
