Our Tie Guanyin Li Li Xiang is an exquisite version of China's most famous oolong tea. The name "Li Li Xiang" means "every leaf smells" and reflects the care and skill that goes into making this tea. The tea leaves are carefully hand-picked from high-altitude tea bushes in the interior of Anxi, a region known for its pure, unspoilt nature and outstanding beauty. Here in Anxi, the tea is cultivated with great craftsmanship to bring out its unique aromas and flavours.

In this tea we offer the particularly sought-after autumn harvest, which provides a rich and well-balanced flavour profile. In the cup, Tie Guanyin Li Li Xiang displays a round and creamy butteriness that is balanced by fresh green notes and subtle acidic flavours. The aftertaste is long, smooth and clear, providing a harmonious conclusion to the flavour experience.

It is grown on a farm that follows sustainable farming principles, without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers, contributing to both the tea's pure taste and environmentally friendly production. Tie Guanyin Li Li Xiang, also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy, Ti Kuan Yin or Tie Guan Yin, originates from the Anxi region of China and uses the Tie Guanyin cultivar, which is synonymous with quality and tradition in Chinese tea cultivation.

Infusion

Dosage Quantity / 250 ml 2,5-3 g
temperature temperature 90-95°C
Infusion 1 Infusion 2-3 minutes
T ie Guanyin Lili Xiang is well suited for multiple infusions. The second infusion is best kept short, as the leaves have already started to open and release their flavours. Subsequent infusions, on the other hand, should be left to rest a little longer, so that the flavours deepen and the nuances emerge. For many teas, two or three infusions with the above parameters are enough, but some keep on giving, cup after cup.
