Our wild-growing, organic rooibos from Cederberg in South Africa, we combine here with real bergamot from Calabria in Italy and, where the finest bergamot is grown. We have also given the tea a touch of orange and lemon with citrus oils from the same area. The harvest of rooibos is done by hand from wild-growing shrubs, something that is unusual today when most of the rooibos sold are commercially grown. The cooperative we work with has both cultivated and wild rooibos, and we chose the wild one because it has a completely different depth and a different length in taste. Rooibos, like tea, contains a considerable dose of antioxidants, but unlike tea, it has no caffeine at all, which makes it excellent as an evening tea. Wild Rooibos Earl Gray has a round and soft taste where the rooibos' nectar-like tones harmonize nicely with the bergamot's healthy but at the same time warm citrus tones.
