Our Huoshan Huangya is from Mount Huo in Anhui Province and is undergoing a traditional yellowing process. This process means that the not yet completely dried leaves undergo a longer rest before the last roasting. The tea leaves are easily oxidized during this time-consuming production step and the taste acquires a ripe, sweet character without bitterness. As a result, real yellow tea can be stored better. The beautiful leaves give an infusion that has a clear and velvety taste and with hints of aromatic fruitiness.
